Oh, I know ... the lotto gods have not yet smiled on us

We don't need to use our car as an example. We know we're underpowered ... it's certainly not optimized.

Somthing like the Amico car would be a much better example of where I think the BMWs should be. Dean's had bad luck so far this year, but when he's on track, the car seems to be in the right ballpark!

I would rather not have the Touring Class eliminated...

And no, we're not too fast. Our cornering speeds should be lower, our straight-away speeds should be lower. We do not have crazy engines, they are bone stock (yes we do run an intake and exhaust + a very good tune by Turtle). We run in a very tight and competitive group up front, so every Touring Class driver is trying harder and harder to get on the power earlier and faster while maintaining corner speed.

The Touring/ST mix up is a problem and has always been a problem. The problem is not in the specifications of the cars, there are far too many variables that may make a lower powered car fast and a higher powered car slow. The one thing that I stress is the staggered start. The mess seen at ICAR would have been avoided completely and the front pack of the Touring Field would have been no where close to the ST field.

To me, the ST class looks great at the moment. You guys should be happy with the results!

Man you are right on !!

To be honest with you Anthony , i think that a Touring Class only championship would be one hell of a show. And this would be the best way for every currently ST teams to cut down on cost by a substantial amount, why not a Grand AM ST look a like rules package with Toyo R888 tires ??? Build cars with Grand AM specification and the big $$$ team could enter Continental races aswell.

Imagine 40+ cars competing against each other !! That would be awesome !

The ST cars look too good though! It's a great formula. I think the ST cars should be allowed a lower ride height (2" or 2.5") which should make them handle better and look that more aggressive.
